Well what'ya know, it's Mighty O - Organic, dairy-free, vegan donuts?? What'll they think of next? (Sounds yummy.)

GWB in a comedy skit - Here's an 11-minute excerpt from the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner. Bush’s presentation included an impersonator, Steve Bridges, who 'interpreted' the president's remarks for laymen. Very well done.

A new way to improve the safety of fruits and veggies - One lab is working on an edible food wrap that kills deadly E. coli bacteria... pretty clever.

Flight Patterns - This video showing US flight patterns by plotting data from the FAA is surprisingly mesmerizing. Or, it could just be that I'm overly sleepy today from excessive weekend activities -- attending the NJ Devils hockey game, raking the rest of the leaves up at the lake, attending Frank & Marge's daughter's wedding (they even had fireworks!). I also managed to crawl around in the attic to hook up a big FM antenna so I can pull in all the NY HD radio stations on my HD receiver -- works great!) Need to sleeeeep...

Not a better mousetrap - This year, it's a better rake. At least that's what the makers of the Slapshot Rake are claiming -- that you can cover 300% more ground with each more-natural stroke, kind of like a slapshot in hockey. Check out the video -- it looks kind of kooky, but who knows? They may be on to something. (After raking up a monstrous 6-foot pile of leaves after arriving home from a one-week vacation yesterday, I'll try anything!)

Never mix alcohol with radiation - The combination seems to make people stupid. Here's a story of an Illinois man who mistook the local nuclear power plant for a gas station, just a couple of weeks after someone else pulled up to it thinking it was an interstate toll plaza!
